Abstract
An instrument for the measurement of photographic densities in the range 0 to 0.3 with reproducibility of 0.0001 is described, a greater range being obtainable at the expense of sensitivity. A balanced optical system is employed, modulation of the measuring beam being performed by polarizers. Barrier layer photo-cells and a galvanometer are used for balance indication. Keywords
