Abstract
This is a review paper, devoted mainly to the work on the genetics and chemistry of eye-pigment development in insects. Particular attention is given to the work on Drosophila melanogaster. A schematic outline of the processes in eye-pigment development in this insect is given with indications as to how various genes may be concerned in controlling the reactions involved. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
