Abstract
The microwave spectrum of methylcyclopropane was observed in the range 8–38 GHz. The barrier to internal rotation of the methyl group was determined as 2860 ± 50 cal/mole from splittings of the rotational transitions. The dipole moment was found to be: μA = 0.097 ± 0.001 D, μC = 0.100 ± 0.005 D, and μtotal = 0.139 ± 0.004 D.Keywords
