Abstract
Three cases of abdominal abscesses involving gauze were studied by B‐mode ultrasound. Thick irregular boundary echoes and irregular internal echoes of high amplitude were most characteristic. The ultrasound tomograms are presented, and their characteristics are discussed.Keywords
