Predictors of Alcohol Dependence in a Sample of Women

Abstract
Predictors of alcohol dependence were investigated in a clinical sample of 59 women in inpatient alcohol treatment in Adelaide and in a similar number of matched controls. The strongest statistical predictors of alcohol dependence were high depression, smoking, sex‐role identity conflict and non‐positive perception of mother's personality.Keywords
