Abstract
The effect of the substitution of Pb for Bi was investigated for the Bi-Sr-Cu-O superconductor. It was shown that the substitution of Pb for Bi stabilized the Bi2Sr2CuO y -type structure even at high temperature. Furthermore, the Pb substitution resulted in the decrease in T c. The metal-superconductor transition using cationic substitution in the Bi2Sr2CuO y -type compound was discussed. Keywords
