Abstract
The authors provide a guide to the selection, design and construction of diamond anvil high-pressure cells. It is addressed primarily to those working in the pressure range up to approximately 30 GPa (300 kbar). Design principles are discussed, together with details that enable either a beginner or practitioner to design a cell tailored to specific research needs. Three basic cell designs are also given. Keywords
