Some 52 consecutive patients were reviewed who had undergone radical cystectomy for bladder cancer prior to 1962 and were followed for 15-23 yr. The over-all survival rates at 5, 10 and 15 yr were 38, 27 and 17%. Pathologic staging was the most important prognostic factor in the series.
