Abstract
This paper covers work done to improve present available rainwear products in the areas of washability, dry cleaning, freedom from excessive soiling, soft "handle," good appearance, comfort and good impact spray. The most feasible approach is a light coating on the inside of the garment followed by normal "Zepel" or "Scotchgard" fluorocarbon treatment on the outside. Sanforizing follows fluorocarbon treatment and generally does not affect coatings or other treatment. Keywords
