Experimental Researches on the Pathogenesis of Leukaemias

Abstract
Injn. of human leukemic blood into chick-embryos leads to characteristic changes (40.6% reticuloendothelioses), which can be transmitted to other chick-embryos and to a lesser degree to pullets and chickens. The histological picture offers a systematic mesenchymal hyperplasia with myeloatrophy, but it does not correspond to the findings in human leukemias or in chicken-leukemias. Material from diseased chicken-embryos, injected into the skin of* leukemic patients, can produce nodular reactions.
