Abstract
Detailed experimental investigations are performed on the oblique collision of plane ion-acoustic solitons in a double-plasma-type plasma device. Many of the observed phenomena of inelastic collisions of solitons are found to be similar to those of resonance interactions described by nonlinear ion-acoustic waves, and the virtual states produced after the interaction are well defined. Keywords
