Abstract
An optimal control problem is considered for an evolutionary controlled system with a Lagrange-type cost functional and with general endpoint constraints. The main result is the Pontryagin-type maximum principle. Four important cases for which the resulting maximum principle holds are presented. They are: the control problem with fixed endpoints; the control problem with a terminal end constraint; the control problem with separated end constraints; and the optimal periodic control problem. Keywords
