Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 78-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of dyspnea.She had diphtheria at the age of 18 months and scarlet fever during childhood. She was always unable to keep up with other children in physical activity. When she was 12 years of age a physician found that her pulse rate was 40. She was first seen at this hospital at the age of 24 years, at which time she was receiving thyroid hormone because of a diagnosis of hypothyroidism, based on bradycardia.
