Critical tests of the theory of magnetoconductance in two dimensions

Abstract
The magnetoconductance of a two-dimensional electron gas has been studied under varying magnetic fields, temperature, and substrate bias. It is found that the predictions by Ando and Uemura of quantum transport in the high and intermediate magnetic field region failed to adequately describe the dependence on magnetic field and substrate bias. Further, the supposition of additive conductivity appears to be invalid.
