Abstract
A method is described for long-term standard production of purified virus from cultures of PR-RSV-C[Prague strain Rous sarcoma virus, subgroup C]-transformed chicken cells. The mean yields were 4.91 mg of purified virus/l of culture medium. Cells were grown in long-term cultures for 26 wk. A combination of polyethylene glycol 6000 precipitation and zonal centrifugation was satisfactory for virus concentration and purification.
