Abstract
THE ataractic or tranquilizing drugs are widely used both with and without prescription. Many articles regarding them have appeared in popular magazines. Meprobamate† is one of the most commonly employed tranquilizers. In clinical trials with this drug1 2 3 a skin eruption developed in 2 of 421 patients. Only two articles4 , 5 were found dealing specifically with eruptions due to meprobamate.The present report includes 5 cases of meprobamate eruptions.
