Abstract
Evidence is presented that diffuse streaks in electron diffraction patterns from GaAs single crystals are due to the thermal diffuse scattering of electrons by phonons. Conclusions by Vander Sande and Peters regarding the crystallographic orientation and shape of zones in GaAs based on the observation of such streaks are not justified. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
