Anti‐s and Anti‐U Cold‐Reacting Antibodies1

Abstract
The thermal and immunochemical properties of seven examples of anti‐s and one example of anti‐U have been studied. It is shown by the antiglobulin, as well as the automated Polybrene technique, that these antibodies are cold‐reacting and share this property with antibodies of the rest of the MNS system. It is furthermore demonstrated that the antibodies studied are IgG immunoglobulins. These data are in conformity with the hypothesis that the thermal properties of various antigen‐antibody reactions are primarily determined by the antigen and not by the antibody.
