Abstract
Some remarks concerning the application of the Shpolskii effect for the quantitative analysis of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons are presented. Specific problems, related to the matrix, the effect of temperature and the illumination time are emphasized and illustrated by some examples. Keywords
