Abstract
Oculographic study of a case [human] of opsoclonus associated with infectious meningoencephalitis was used to determine the criteria of this abnormal ocular movemement, distinguishing it from the other abnormal movements of flutter and dysmetria. The possible relationship between opsoclonus and myoclonia and the role of the cerebellum were discussed. The disturbances noted in the course of study of saccadian movement suggested overall involvement of the saccadian oculomotor system. The value of oculographic recording was stressed in better understanding the general mechanisms of saccadian movement and the pathogenesis of the various changes which may be encountered. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
