Abstract
The structure of a monolayer of pentadecanoic acid at a water-air interface has been studied through its gas, liquid, and condensed phases by use of a very sensitive ellipsometry technique. The results clearly show the presence of two coexistence regions on the isotherm and a nonuniform film at full coverage. Keywords
