Abstract
This paper is a taxonomic study of the genus Godronia Moug. & Lév. with a discussion of its history, morphology, conidial relations, parasitism, and distribution. Twenty-four species and five forms are recognized, of which 14 species and three forms have been studied in culture. Seven species and three forms are described as new; one new combination and one new name are proposed. The genera Scleroderris (Fr.) Bon. and Crumenula DeNot. are regarded as taxonomic synonyms of Godronia. A section of doubtful and excluded species is included comprising discussions of 94 species that have been referred to the genus Godronia or the genus Scleroderris. Keywords
