Abstract
Papers reporting multiple studies have become common publication practice in our field. This practice has several serious costs that have not been foreseen, and it ma be responsible for unfortunate developments such as a reduction in creativity, a paralysis of scientific interaction, a decline in the integration of the field, and an emphasis on microcertainty at the expense of examination of broad possibilities. The paper that reports a solo experiment is suggested as a potential solution to these problems. Keywords
