Abstract
Aryl-lead triacetates react readily with sodium azide in dimethyl sulphoxide at room temperature to give aryl azides in high yield. By employing aryl-lead triacetates, generated in situ from arylboronic acids, this new reaction provides a two-step route from aryl halides to aryl azides. Keywords
