Abstract
A neutron diffraction investigation of a beta -PdDx system, with a high D concentration of 73 per cent, has shown the existence of a (1 1/2 0) superlattice reflection. No indication of the (4/5 2/5 0) superlattice reflection reported recently by Ellis et al. (1979) has been found, even after an annealing period up to 200 hours. After an annealing treatment at 77K for 120 hours and at 65K for 110 hours, neither the (1 1/2 0) nor the (4/5 2/5 0) reflection could be observed. Keywords
