Abstract
Behavioral observations have suggested that the function of foreign synapses on goldfish extraocular muscles can be repressed after reinnervation by the original nerve without any ultrastructural alterations. The present experiments demonstrate that even after behavioral repression foreign synapses are physiologically functionl and that the original and foreign nerves can simultaneously innervate goldfish extraocular muscles. Keywords
