Abstract
The electric quadrupole and magnetic dipole coupling constants for C17O have been determined from observations of the J = 1→0 emission lines in an interstellar cloud with sufficiently small velocity dispersion such that all three components are clearly resolved. The new values we derive are somewhat different from previous determinations based on partly resolved spectra and are eQq = 4337±56 kHz and CI = −30.4±1.2 kHz.Keywords
