Abstract
This article presents a summary of a study of home health care nurse's knowledge and attitudes toward pain management. Pain management is a significant component of nursing care planning and the corresponding provision of quality in home health care nursing care delivery. Understanding current attitudes and knowing what information home health care nurses require to support them in the delivery of excellent patient care is important to the quality of the nursing care provided in the home environment. This study concluded that there is a need for learning among home health care nurses with regard to analgesic pharmacology and pain management practice skill development. Also it is necessary for nursing administration to support regular continuing education annually or more often regarding both these topic areas. Keywords
