DETECTION OF SMALL NUMBERS OF TUBERCLE BACILLI IN DIAGNOSIS - THE LETHAL ACTION OF CONCENTRATING AGENTS

Abstract
The lethal effects on tubercle bacilli of several concentrating methods in general use were studied. Lethal effects were detd. quantitatively on known numbers of organisms suspended in albumin water or in nontuberculous sputum. All the methods tested killed 80 to 100% of the tubercle bacilli present.
