Abstract
The results of management of squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx are reported. All patients were initially treated by radical radiotherapy. Glottic tumours responded well, while supra- and sub-glottic tumours did not show good response. All radiation failures and recurrences were managed by total laryngectomy. Post-operative survival periods of five years or longer were recorded in 57 per cent of the patients. Keywords
