Multiphoton radiofrequency resonances inHe4+

Abstract
One-, two-, three-, and four-photon resonances in the N=6,7, and 9 states of He4+ have been observed with a fast atomic beam. The locations, amplitudes, widths, and rf Stark shifts of these resonances are discussed along with the prospects for exploiting multiphoton fast-beam spectroscopy as a means for measuring the fine structure of He4+ to high precision.
