Diet and Health for Senior Citizens: Workshops by the Health Team

Abstract
A one-day workshop was developed to deliver practical information on the relationship of diet and health to senior citizens in rural communities. Program content was organized to provide clinical information as stimulus to examine current eating patterns and to present tools and techniques to make dietary modifications selected by participants. Workshop evaluation indicated participant desire for succeeding sessions. Impact evaluation as measured by mailed return card indicated 70% of responders had altered dietary patterns to meet personal objectives developed in the conference.
