Abstract
The effects of the increased capacity of a desired cell in a CDMA cellular system has been analysed. With a propagation path loss factor of 2 or 4, analytical functions have been derived on the change in C/I ratio of the desired cell and also the change in the number of users in the surrounding cells to maintain the same C/I ratio in the desired cell. Approximate numerical results are obtained when the path loss factor is 3.Keywords
