Abstract
A direct comparison mass spectrometer method of measuring the separation of uranium isotopes is described. Data are given to show that for separation factors less than 1.06, the accuracy and precision are equivalent to those of the commonly used hexafluoride dilution method. The technique is useful for other separation factor ranges and is particularly adaptable to automatic instruments which should give even better results. (auth)
