Abstract
A new scale was developed for measuring prejudicial attitudes towards homosexuals (homosexism). Scale item analysis was based upon questionnaire responses from 143 college students and results in the development of both a long-form and a short-form scale. Both forms were highly reliable and yielded nearly identical results. Validity was assessed by administering the short-form scale to an additional 112 Ss and testing previously supported relationships. Results indicate that the scale is valid and should facilitate research in this area. Keywords
