Abstract
Solubilization of imidazole, methanol and pyrazole by sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulphosuccinate (Aerosol-OT), in carbon tetrachloride has been studied using 1H n.m.r. Binding constants of the solubilizates–surfactant complexes have been determined and are greater than those for the same solubilizates and micellar dodecylammonium propionate (DAP). The determined average life time of pyrazole in the Aerosol-OT micellar phase indicates a stronger interaction than with DAP.Keywords
