The Analysis of Variance of Diallel Tables

Abstract
An analysis of variance of diallel tables is developed which detects both additive genetic variation and dominance deviations. The mean squares are formulated in terms of a biometrical genetical model. Flowering times from a diallel cross of eight inbred varieties of Nicotiania rustica are analyzed and the type of genetic variation present described.
