Abstract
A method is presented for calculating the directional photoemission spectra for arbitrary surface structures, including those which possess no translation symmetry parallel to the surface. The method is applied to several surfaces of copper and the results are compared with recent experiments. The determination of electronic structure for adsorbates is discussed, along with comments on the accuracy of current models of clean metal surfaces. Keywords
