Abstract
Several problems in heat conduction relating to internally cooled nuclear reactors are solved by means of successive Schwarz-Christoffel transformations. Formulas are derived for the computation of the thermal resistance between hot and cold fluids flowing through a solid in parallel channels of variously shaped cross sections, including the square, rectangle, and an oval approximation to the circle and the ellipse. Keywords
