Abstract
Five patients, two of whom were diabetic, all of whom were smokers with heart disease, with an average age of 61.2 years, underwent internal jugular vein patch angioplasty after carotid endarterectomy because of extensive nar rowing of the internal carotid artery. The patients were followed for a mean of 32 months post-operatively, with no evidence of recurrent stenosis or symptoms. Keywords
