Abstract
A point source of direct current, in an anisotropic unbounded homogeneous conductor, is considered. The conductivities in three orthogonal directions are arbitrary. The solution is extended to deal with planar interfaces. Also, the relevance to resistivity sounding of a layered Earth is pointed out. Keywords
