Abstract
Detailed description of 2 of the oldest Magdalenian levels found at Badegoule (France). Level I, resting directly on the Upper Solutrean contains the following fauna reindeer (which dominates), horse, ox, stag, bear, wolf, fox, and small rodents, such as Arvicola. Level II follows Level I directly but bears no resemblance to it in its makeup. Its faunal content is dominated equally by reindeer and horse, then come ox, wolf, fox, chamois, saiga, and small rodents again represented by Arvicola.
