Abstract
Spontaneous pneumothorax is a common condition that impacts significantly on healthcare expenditure. However, optimal management of spontaneous pneumothorax remains a subject of considerable controversy. A thoracic surgeon's perspective on the use of thoracoscopy and video-assisted thoracic surgery with a focus on surgical techniques in the current management of this condition is presented. Keywords
