Abstract
The form factor for inelastic electron-proton scattering is numerically evaluated in a multiperipheral model with scalar couplings. It is found that although the model is theoretically scale invariant in the sense that approaches a finite limit as , this limit is approached very slowly; for values of , experimentally attainable at SLAC, the model has not reached its scale-invariant limit.
