Abstract
Surface-water temperatures at Boothbay Harbor, Maine, in 1968 were appreciably higher than in 1967. This check in the recent coastal cooling trend was reflected in offshore surface and subsurface temperature conditions and was accompanied by a shift in the relative position of Coastal and Slope Water along the edge of the Continental Shelf.
