An analysis of the variation of incidence of congenital dysgenetic hypothyroidism in various countries.

Abstract
The seasonal and chronological distributions of birth dates of 820 patients with congenital hypothyroidism due to thyroid dysgenesis were analyzed in 8 areas in the world [Japan, Australia; France; Norway; Switzerland; Quebec, Canada; Toronto, Canada; Pennsylvania, USA]. The incidence had some seasonal variations in certain areas. Apparently some environmental factors cause this disease.
