Abstract
A non‐adiabatic calculation is made of the binding energy of the excitonic molecule ion. In the limiting case of the hydrogen molecule ion good agreement is obtained with very accurate calculations. The results confirm the stability of the complex for all values of the electron‐to‐hole mass ratio. Keywords
