Abstract
The APL version of TAILOR allows administration of individual tailored tests without the usual need for extensive pretesting to establish item characteristics. Information gathered from each examinee is added to a cumulative file to determine reliable order relations among persons and items. Given adequately discriminating items, substantial tailoring can occur after as few as a half-dozen tests. Keywords
