Case Selection

Abstract
The principles of case selection for speech therapy are related to the setting in which the clinician functions. However, an underlying philosophy permeates the thinking of all clinicians. All assume that the individual has a speech or language that differs from the theoretical norm, and that they have an armamentarium of procedures that will help the individual modify his communication. Each clinician views his responsibilities for case selection in a different manner.
