Abstract
Beta-2-thienylalanine, in a concn. of 5 x 10-4, inhibited growth of the vaccinia virus in a modified type of Maitland tissue cultures containing chick embryonic tissues. DL-phenylalanine neutralized the toxicity of the antagonist for the virus. Methionine was ineffective. Keywords
